The John Dorkin Charity

The John Dorkin Charity provides grants to people who live within the boundaries of the Anicent Parish of St Clement Ipswich and who are in need. Applications to assist those in need are considered regularly by the Trustees and recent examples of where funding has been provided include;
 
For Individuals/Families: 

  • Children attending Residential Camps/Holidays
  • Bed and Bedding
  • Carpeting
  • Toys
  • Cot
  • Laptop
  • Redecoration
  • Washing Machines
  • Curtains and Furnishings - Transport to Hospital
  • Redecoration
  • Basic Essentials. 

For Organisations: 

  • Toys and cooking equipment
  • Activity Days
  • Computer
  • Outing for community groups.

People in need who live within the boundaries of the Ancient Parish of St Clement Ipswich. This area has been extended and a map is on the website - http://www.johndorkincharityipswich.co.uk 

What we can't help with

The Trustees are unable to consider outstanding debts or in the relief of rates, taxes or other public funds. The charity does not provide repeat grants.

Applications for individuals/families must be made through the appropriate agency and not directly from individuals. 

How to apply?

Applications must be submitted by a third party such as social worker. Applications are considered all year round.
