The Junius S Morgan Benevolent Fund

The Fund is available to members and former members of the nursing profession who are in need. Applicants must have practised nursing in a NHS hospital in the UK for at least 5 years.

The Fund will consider applications for essential decorating, furniture, and furnishings. The Trust will also consider amenity bills.

The Fund is unable to assist Students, assist with bankruptcy fees, education costs, funeral expenses, respite care, holidays or care home fees.

The maximum amount given by the Trustees for a one-off grant is £1,000.00.

Who is eligible?

UK registered nurses and healthcare assistants who have practised in the UK for a minimum of five years.

The Fund is unable to assist Students, assist with bankruptcy fees, education costs, funeral expenses, respite care, holidays or care home fees.

How to apply?

Applications must be submitted through an independent third party (i.e. a social worker, care worker or Citizens Advice) who has reviewed the application and provided a letter of support. They are considered on a weekly basis and applicants will be notified of a decision in writing.

Applications should include:

  • three months of recent bank statements and gas/electricity bills
  • a current mortgage statement or rental agreement
  • and a written quotation if a purchase or repair is required.
