The Leatherhead United Charities
The Leatherhead United Charities gives three types of grants:
Pension payments
The charity can award a monthly pension of £87 for qualifying individuals over the age of 55 living in Leatherhead, Fetcham, Bookham and Ashtead. The pension payment is reviewed on an annual basis.
Grants to individuals
The charity gives one-off grants to people who live in the areas of Leatherhead, Bookham, Fetcham or Ashtead. The maximum grant award for individuals is £500. Applications can be made for essential items such as white goods, beds, bedding, support with education and employment, support with managing debt.
Grants to organisations
The charity provides grant funding to charitable and community organisations based in Leatherhead, Bookham, Fetcham or Ashtead.

Who is eligible?
If you need a one-off grant:
You should be in financial need and live in either Leatherhead, Bookham, Fetcham or Ashtead.
If you need a small pension payment:
You must be 55 or over, on a low income and live in either Leatherhead, Bookham, Fetcham or Ashtead. To be able to apply for the pension, you need to have lived in one of these places for at least two years.
How to apply?
Individuals should not apply directly, but a third party, such as Citizens Advice or social services, should apply on the individual's behalf.
Other information
The charity also provides comfortable, safe accommodation for over 55s living within the District of Mole Valley.
