The Lord Mayor's 800th Anniversary Awards Trust

We support young people aged 17 - 24 who are going on character developing projects, usually abroad. The project might be designed to broaden their experience, develop their self confidence and improve their career chances. We give preference to applicants with a connection to the City of London.

We also support medical electives.

Grants vary but include support to: go on sailing expeditions, make TV documentaries overseas, adventurous travel, youth choir tours abroad, and computer courses. People have recently got support to go biking in Mongolia, helping build a school in Kenya and teaching in China.
