The National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) Benevolent Fund

Grants are available for NASUWT members, former members, and their dependents. Grants are also available for the dependents of deceased members. NASUWT can provide financial support for convalescence, essential living costs, cooker, council tax arrears, and educational purposes.

Who is eligible?

Members, former members, and their dependents, and dependents of a deceased member. Applicants should have less the £5000 in savings.

What we can't help with

  • Legal fees
  • Private medical/dental care
  • Private school fees, education courses or house purchase
  • To repay borrowed money from a relative/friend
  • Repayment of a student loan or to assist students with general living expenses

How to apply?

Contact your local NASUWT association to arrange a meeting with one of their trainer benevolence visitors.
