The Newfield Charitable Trust

The Newfield Charitable Trust gives grants to females, aged 40 and under, who are in need and permanently live in Coventry or Leamington Spa

The Trust gives grants for essential items, such as clothing, furniture, carpets for the lounge or bedroom or for educational purposes.

Who is eligible?

Females, aged 40 or under, who are in need and permanently live in Coventry or Leamington Spa.

We do not give grants for:

  • Repaying loans that are from purchasing non-essential items. 
  • Rent/community charge arrears except in exceptional circumstances.
  • Arrears or utility bills.
  • Private school fees.
  • Grants are not normally for holidays unless there is an exceptional circumstance.
  • Grants for postgraduate education or second degrees

How to apply?

Applications are accepted from individuals or third parties, such as social services, a health worker or a child's teacher.

If you are applying as an individual you MUST include a letter of reference from a professional person.

You can apply for a grant three times but you cannot apply more than one grant in the space of a year. The charity considers applications eight times a year. 

Dates for 2019 Trustee meetings are:

  • 24th July (cut-off date for applications - 17th July)
  • 4th September (cut-off date for applications - 28th August)
  • 16th October (cut-off date for applications - 9th October)
  • 4th December (cut-off date for applications - 27th November)

Please arrange for your application to be in a week before the meeting is due, so that it can be  processed in time for the meeting.
