The Officers’ Association

The Officers’ Association provides financial assistance and support to former officers of the UK Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force and their dependents. Grants are made for specific items such as disability equipment, household items, small house repairs and care home top-up fees.

Who is eligible?

This charity is specifically for Officers’ who have held a commission in HM Forces, their widows and dependents. If you were not an Officer, there are many Armed Forces charities listed on Turn2us that can help you such as the Royal British Legion, SSAFA and charities for each arm of the Armed Forces.

  • Private school fees
  • Medical costs
  • Legal expenses
  • Mortgage costs

How to apply?

Individuals can apply directly, or an intermediary can apply on their behalf. Phone or email the Association to find out how to apply: 020 7808 4175 or email info@officerassociation.org.uk 

Volunteers will make a home visit to the applicant to help with filling in the application form and providing a confidential report to consider assistance.

Other information

We also provide advice and information on statutory benefits, debt management, housing and residential care. 

We offer legal advice through Law Express and a Befriending service through Age UK and Silverline.
