The Pocklington Apprenticeship Trust

Grants are available for children and young people aged under 21 who were born in The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea or has a parent who has lived there for at least ten years. Grants are to help with the costs of education and training, such as:

  • fees and expenses for an apprenticeship or training
  • scholarships, bursaries or maintenance allowances tenable at any university or other place of learning
  • financial assistance, outfits, clothing, tools, instruments or books to enable young people on leaving school, university, or any other education establishment
  • scholarships or maintenance allowances to enable children and young people to travel abroad to pursue their education
  • financial assistance to enable children and young people to study music or other art

Who is eligible?

To be eligible you must:

  • Be under the age of 21 (or up to the age of 25 years in extreme circumstances)
  • born within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (or whose parent or parents have lived there for at least ten years)
  • have a financial need (either the parents/carers/young person receive entitlements such as Housing Benefit, JSA, income support or other similar equivalents)
