The Provision Trade Charity

One-off or quarterly grants are available for people in need in the provision trade (bacon, pork, canned meat/fish and dairy products), and their dependants. Grants are to assist with special purchases, home improvements or everyday expenses.

Who is eligible?

People in need who have worked in the Provision Trade at production/wholesale, import/export level for a number of years. Employment at retail level is not included.

The Provision Trade covers the following sectors: Bacon, pork, canned meat/fish, cheese and other dairy products – yogurt, butter, cream and milk powder – and eggs.

How to apply?

On a form which can be downloaded from the Provision Trade Charity's website

Applications may be returned by email or post. Applications are usually considered in February, May, August and November. They can be submitted directly by the individual or through a social worker, Citizens Advice, other welfare agency or through a relation or friend. Prospective beneficiaries are visited by the charity's welfare visitor.
