The Royal Liverpool Seamen's Orphan Institution
Educational grants for the children of deceased merchant seafarers or fisherman. The children of merchant seafarers or fishermen who have had to stop working because of the death of a partner can also apply.
You can apply on behalf of children from pre-school, at school, college or university.
The Institution gives one-off grants to support education. For example, grants are given to buy computers, uniforms, or help to pay for school trips.

Who is eligible?
Children of:
- deceased British merchant seafarers or fishermen
- merchant seafarers or fishermen who have had to give up work because of the death of a partner
Grants can only be given for educational purposes.
How to apply?
Email the Institution explaining how the child is eligible and what they need assistance with.
