The Severn Trent Water Charitable Trust Fund

Grants for people in financial need who have water and/or sewerage charges due to Severn Trent Water, or water or sewerage charges which are collected by other companies or organisations on behalf of Severn Trent Water. In some cases, the Trust can also consider giving some help to meet other essential bills, household needs or priority debts.

Who is eligible?

People with water or sewage services provided by Severn Trent Water or by companies or organisations which operate on behalf of Severn Trent, who are cannot afford to pay their water charges.

What we can't help with

  • Court fines, catalogue debts, credit cards, personal loans or other forms of borrowing
  • Social Fund loans/benefit overpayments/Tax Credit overpayments now being reclaimed.
  • The Trust cannot give you a loan or give help with bills you have already paid or items that you have already bought.

How to apply?

Individuals can apply directly or a third party, such as Citizens Advice, can apply on their behalf. On a form available from the correspondent or to download from the website: http://www.sttf.org.uk/online-application/

Applicants may receive a telephone call or visit as part of the application process. Unsuccessful applicants may reapply after six months.
