The Stowmarket Relief Trust

This fund is only open to applications from intermediaries or support workers

One-off and sometimes recurrent grants for people in need who live in the town of Stowmarket and the parish of Old Newtown with Dagworth.

Examples of how the charity has helped people:

  • grants to pay the court fees for individuals going into bankruptcy, including Debt Relief Orders,
  • buying and repairing white goods
  • counselling
  • carpets
  • bedding and furniture
  • household expenses
  • clothing/footwear.

Who is eligible?

People in need who live in the town of Stowmarket and its adjoining parishes including the parish of Old Newton with Dagworth. Priority is given to people living in the town of Stowmarket.

How to apply?

Applications should be submitted through an intermediary such as a social worker, Citizens Advice or health professional. 

The charity meets about five times a year.
