The Taunton Aid in Sickness Fund

Grants for people in poor health who live within a four mile radius of St Mary's Church in Taunton, have an illness and are in financial need. The charity usually gives grants to people who are in receipt of statutory means assessed benefits.

Grants can be given for essential furnishings, travel expenses, educational aids or a contribution towards the expenses of recuperative holidays.

Who is eligible?

People in poor health who live within a four mile radius of St Mary's Church in Taunton, have an illness and are in financial need.

Please note: no grants for council tax, other taxes, other public funds or payment of debts. The charity does not award repeat grants.

How to apply?

Individuals should not apply directly. Instead, a professional, such as a health professional or social worker should apply on their behalf. If a person needs help and is not in direct contact with any professional workers the Citizens Advice Taunton will provide help in making the claim and administering it.
