The Webster and Davidson Educational Trust

The Webster and Davidson Educational Trust gives Musical Education Awards for blind and partially-sighted people to support their learning and appreciation of music.

The Trust generally gives grants for secondary level of school study or further education or degree study. However, it sometimes considers applications for other levels of study.

Preference will be given to persons resident or normally resident in Scotland.

Who is eligible?

Individuals who are visually impaired, living in or normally resident in Scotland, and studying music at secondary school or at a further or higher education college.

The bursary is not intended to take the place of or supplement Scottish Students’ Allowances or other awards derived from public funds.

How to apply?

Application forms are available from the charity contact address or to download from the Thorntons Law LLP Charitable Trust web page

The closing date for applications is 31 March each year. A referee's report must be included.

This charity also has an Award for Educational Visits for organisations working with young people who have a sight impairment.
