The Wembley Compassionate Fund

The Fund gives grants to people in financial need who live in Brent Ward catchment area of: Alperton, Barnhill, Kenton, Northwick Park, Preston, Sudbury, Tokyngton and Wembley Central.

The Fund can help:

  • paying heating bills where extra heating was used through illness
  • to purchase bedding, clothing
  • repairing and replacing washing machines, cookers and heating appliances etc
  • with the provision of special dietary requirements for those suffering hardship through illness
  • to purchase equipment that is not available from the DSS
  • with the cost of school trips and school uniforms and shoes
  • giving carers respite

Who is eligible?

People in financial need who live in Brent Ward catchment area of: Alperton, Barnhill, Kenton, Northwick Park, Preston, Sudbury, Tokyngton and Wembley Central. Visit the Wembley Compassionate Fund website to see maps of the Brent wards the charity covers.

Please note: The Fund cannot pay arrears and the help is practical rather than financial.

How to apply?

Professionals, for example, local councillors, should apply on an individual's behalf. Individuals should not apply directly. The professional can download an application form from The Wembley Compassionate Fund website.
