The Widows Fund

Recurrent and one-off grants are available for retired ministers or the widows or widowers of ministers or retired ministers of Unitarian Free Churches, Congregational, Presbyterian, United Reform and of the Baptist denominations in England and Wales.

Who is eligible?

Retired ministers or the widows or widowers of ministers or retired ministers of Unitarian Free Churches, Congregational, Presbyterian, United Reform and of the Baptist denominations in England and Wales. 

Normally, the Fund helps any single person (including widowers and widows) whose annual income is not more than £5,200 or £7,800 for married couples (not including welfare benefits). Applicants should not have savings of more than £40,000.

How to apply?

Individuals can apply directly, or an intermediary can apply on the individual's behalf. Write to or email the charity with details about what you need assistance with.
