The William Barry Trust

One-off cash grants are available for people 16-28 who have, or are about to go into, technical, craft and artistic occupations, for example catering, nursing, arts, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.

The aims of the charity are to further the education of these people by:

  1. Giving grants or loans to persons who are unable to obtain adequate assistance from other sources and who are in need of financial help in order to undertake a training course
  2. Scholarships to persons undergoing training for technical crafts or artistic occupations
  3. Creating training workshops and centres to provide training for technical crafts or artistic occupations
  4. The holding of courses, lectures, seminars, exhibitions and other educational activities.

Who is eligible?

People aged between 16 - 28 years who are studying or intend to enrol on a vocational type course. You must be studying or intend to study in the UK.
