Thornbury Consolidated Charities (administered by Thornbury Town Trust)

Grants are available to people in need who live in the parish of Thornbury to purchase essential items or help with household bills. Beneficiaries often have disabilities or a health issue, but anyone in the parish can apply. The charity gives grants for a variety of needs, such as:

  • to assist in training, purchase of specialist equipment
  • To help with household bills
  • to help with independent living
  • purchase of furniture and white goods
  • help with transport costs and
  • top up care home fees

Who is eligible?

People in need who live in the parish of Thornbury.

The charity also gives Christmas donations to people in Thornbury who are in receipt of benefits.

How to apply?

Write to the Clerk to the trustees outlining your situation and what you would like help with. You can apply at any time of the year. 

Please note that the trust does not give cash grants to individuals to purchase items.
