United Utilities Trust Fund

The United Utilities Trust Fund helps with one-off payments for water charges to customers who are in need and have a registered account with United Utilities Water. In certain cases, the fund can also consider giving some help to purchase household items such as white goods and beds.  Only one item per applicant.

Who is eligible?

People who are in need and have a registered account with United Utilities Water.

What we cannot help with:

  • Household bills such as gas/electricity or rent arrears
  • Court Fines, Catalogue debts, credit cards, personal loans or other forms of borrowing
  • Social Fund Loans/Benefit Overpayments/Tax Credit overpayments
  • The Trust cannot give you a loan, assistance with bills you have already paid or items that you have already bought.

How to apply?

Individuals can apply directly or a third party can apply on their behalf. Visit the website for more information: http://www.uutf.org.uk.

Application forms and full guidelines are available on the website.

You can submit an application online at www.applyuu.org.uk and you will notified of the decision as soon as the assessment has been completed.

If you are successful, you cannot apply again, however, if your application is unsuccessful, you can reapply in six months.

In addition the Trust reviews all applications in relation to eligibility for United Utilities affordability schemes.
