Woodgreen The Pets Charity is there not only to provide for pets in our care but also to help people be the best owners they can be. To support pet owners are services are listed below and assessed on an individual basis:

  • Financial support towards neutering – for dogs, cats and rabbits - postcode dependent.

  • Subsidised Pet Care - financial support towards veterinary bills, preventative care, pet food or other essential items – for dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, ferrets and chickens - postcode dependent.

  • Free behaviour advice – for dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, chickens and ferrets. 

Where the services are postcode dependent, these are in certain parts of Cambridgeshire, Bedfordhire, Norfolk, Suffolks, Essex, Hertfordshire, London, Northamptonshire(see Eligibility for full list of postcodes).

Who is eligible?

Each case is assessed on an individual basis. Owners will be asked to financially contribute towards veterinary fee's and each owner is only eligible for support once.

Enquiries can be made by individuals in need or a referring organisation.

We consider enquiries as soon as they are received. It usually takes us 24-48 hours to make a decision if the situation is not an emergency.

We reply to all enquiries, whether or not we can help them.

Please note: No cash grants are given. We will pay vets directly when offering financial help.
