Worcester Municipal Charities (CIO)

One-off grants for people in need who live in the city of Worchester. Grants for essential items such as:

  • white goods
  • food and clothing
  • fuel bills
  • carpeting
  • televisions
  • a vacuum cleaner/hoover
  • In exceptional circumstances holidays may be considered.

Please note: Applications must be made by supported by a support worker, such as Citizens Advice, a health professional or a social worker.

Who is eligible?

People in need who live in the city of Worcester. If an applicant needs white goods they must have applied for the Discretionary Welfare Assistance Scheme (DWAS) before applying to this grant.

How to apply?

Please note: Applications must be made by supported by a support worker, such as Citizens Advice, a health professional or a social worker. Download an application form from the website: http://www.wmcharities.org.uk/individual.html.

Trustees consider applications once a month. Visit the website to find out when the next meeting is.

Other information

The charity also provides affordable accommodation for people who live in Worcester and are homeless or currently live in unsuitable accommodation.
