Worcester Municipal Charities (CIO)

We offer one-off grants for people in need who live in the City of Worcester. Applications for grants may be considered by the Charity's Trustees for essential items such as:

  • cooker
  • washing machine
  • fridge or fridge/freezer
  • clothing
  • fuel bills
  • carpeting
  • television
  • vacuum cleaner
  • clothes dryer/airer

Please note: Applications must be made by a support worker, such as Citizens Advice, Housing Officer, Health Professional or Social Worker.

Who is eligible?

People in need who live in the city of Worcester. If an applicant needs white goods they must have applied for the Discretionary Welfare Assistance Scheme (DWAS) before applying to this grant.

Other information

The charity also provides affordable accommodation for people who live in Worcester and are homeless or currently live in unsuitable accommodation.
